Dear Friends,
Countless children are diagnosed with cancer daily. Over 12,000 children are stricken with this devastating disease every year. Their lives are a constant struggle for survival. Please join Pediatric Cancer Foundation in our continuing mission to eradicate childhood cancer.
Pediatric Cancer Foundation was formed in 1970 by a grateful parent. We fund institutions that are leaders in pediatric cancer research including Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Hassenfield Children’s Center at NYU Medical Center, Schneider Children’s Hospital at North Shore LIJ Health System and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. The advances made by the doctors we fund have reached children across the United States and to other continents. Contributions also provide seed money to finance new protocols and therapies for diseases that were once incurable, support programs in the field of pediatric oncology, hematology and surgery, parent-patient education programs and the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment and instruments.
The eradication of this devastating disease depends on groups such as Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the generosity of people like you. Please take this opportunity now to contribute to our 38th Annual Journal. This publication is an excellent venue for expressing support for Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Your contribution, in any amount, is always meaningful. We are grateful for your loyalty and want you to realize that your dollars mean life and hope to countless children and their families.
Although the incidence of childhood cancer is not diminishing and it still remains the number one non-accidental killer of children, research has dramatically improved the survival rate of children stricken with this devastating illness. We are optimistic that with your generosity we can continue to make a difference in our mission to cure childhood cancer and brighten the lives of young patients today.
Thank you for being there to ...hold the hand of a child.
Sincerely,
The Journal Committee
